Look at your life; relationships, career, what is working for you.
Look at what is causing you stress and frustration. Is there anything in your life making you feel negative feelings; sad, anger, anxiety, resentment, isolation or abandonment.
Challenge negative thinking; Are you mistaking feelings for facts? Our thoughts and beliefs can feel facts. Do you jump to negative conclusions? Are you talking negative about yourself?
Replace negative thinking with positive thinking. Think about what in your life works well. There might be something you need taught, lessons you need to learn to grow.
Acknowledge – Acknowledge your behavior. The way you think influences how you act. If you believe something, you act in that way. What we believe comes from our life experience, that influences how we act. Be true to yourself by acknowledging your lifestyle, take a look at how you are living and your circumstances. This will help you determine the areas of your life that are in need of growth.
Change – Personal growth journey is a process. Some changes in your life can happen beyond your control and some changes are by your choice. Challenges in life can happen and put road blocks in your progress. You may get overwhelmed, feel lonely along your growth journey or question your next step. Sometimes you need to go out of your comfort zone, nothing grows in your comfort zone. Growth happens You need to be willing to change your thinking and your beliefs and dare to try new things, create new habits as you are creating a new version of you.
Focus – It is important to remember this is a process that takes time. Focus on the positive. Forgive yourself. Encourage yourself. Find a support system. It is important to take a break when you are stressed or overwhelmed rather than quitting and giving up. When it gets hard, please do not give up on your goals and dreams. Celebrate your accomplishments, reward yourself for your achievements and hard work. A little progress is still progress. Keep on going.
